About IDEX

The International Defence Exhibition and Conference, IDEX, is recognised internationally as a leading platform for the world’s defence industry to meet and showcase the latest technology, systems and equipment.

IDEX takes place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), which is centrally located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The state-of-the-art exhibition centre, completed in 2009, is the largest centre of its kind in the Middle East.

The IDEX exhibition takes over 100% of the exhibition centre utilising 124,000sqm of event space.

In 2013, the event will feature:

• Indoor exhibition stands, including the first-time exhibitor zone, spread across 12 exhibition halls and the centre’s concourse and atrium spaces.
• The outside Capital Plaza filled with the media centre, exhibition stands, outside displays and exhibitor chalets.
• The ADNEC Grandstand features the opening ceremony stage and demonstration track,
• The IDEX Helicopter Pavilion and the NAVDEX exhibition at the ADNEC Marina.

NAVDEX, the premier naval defence and maritime security exhibition for the Middle East and North Africa region takes place at ADNEC at the same time as IDEX.

Located on the waterfront at the ADNEC Marina, the event showcases the latest in naval, maritime and coastal security technology, equipment and crafts.

Visiting naval vessels line the quay wall at the exhibition, as leading local and international manufacturers and suppliers exhibit within the purpose built air-conditioned exhibition hall, on outside display sites and with crafts and vessels berthed at the marina
